A labor of love….A work in progress….. A never-ending story…What started as a small shack on a large piece of land has evolved into a grand warren of painstakingly-constructed spaces that together make up a second home for an ever-adapting family.  Designed and built piece-by-piece, room-by-room over the last several decades, the house is essentially our studio's working laboratory for building science and construction methodology.  From new foundations to salvaged windows…From figuring out how to lift a 500 lb mantle into place without machinery to deciding exactly how much head clearance one really needs in a stairwell… From 1984 to 2014 (and beyond), this house is a constant reminder that we love what we do.
