It might not be glamorous but having a healthy, waterproof, insulated building envelope is incredibly important. Work for this 5-story co-op building included removing the existing roof, abating asbestos layers, repairing existing parapets and installing a new insulated Kemper liquid membrane roofing system. Careful waterproofing, drainage and structural detailing were critical to the success of this technical project.
