We love beautiful designs as much as anyone, but we take pride in always being able to take care of the nitty gritty basics of making buildings work. Figuring out how to ventilate a laundry room with no exterior walls in sight? We've done that. Need to build an ADA-accessible ramp so everyone can easily get into your restaurant? Yep, done that too! How about a big roof replacement and waterproofing job? Sure, lots of those! The latest is this Chelsea roof and rooftop pump room. We removed the old asbestos-laden roofing material, installed a thick layer of rigid insulation and then laid down our favorite watertight liquid roofing membrane. This was the first step in the building's plan to eventually put in a roof deck for the residents—it would be the perfect spot for one. Seriously—with these views, site visits were always a good time (asbestos notwithstanding).
